But when you take that research and turn it on it's head and look and what has been learned in a different light....things start to make sense.  When that translates into actual proven and undeniable evidence, it is hard to ignore.  The Quest has taken us way beyond the myths of the Knights Templar and the bloodline of Christ ammortised in the Da Vinci Code. This is a journey that is undoubtedly important and will , I believe, answer a great many of the question marks in history.

Born on the 27/07/1957 at 7.17. Barry recalls....'As a child, I remember playing by a caravan and making paper roses and wooden washing pegs with my mum.   Ringing a bell for old iron and old rags, going to the woods with my grandfather with no knowledge of when we would return, sometimes a day, sometimes weeks. I lived a life of complete self-sufficiency with a piece of string and a penknife.

We would walk for miles living of the land, we would catch rabbits and pheasants, hanging them in sacks, on trees for four days, cooking them without a fire; and picking vegetables from fields. The food tasted better then than that of today. One of my favourite places to play, I recall, was Temple Bar ,the 'Gates of London' in Berry Green Woods in Cheshunt. From the first day that I played in that building, I knew it had a secret and it did. The legend goes that somewhere inside the stonework lay the jewels of a queen.

At the age of thirteen and a half I was an apprentice, being tutored one to one, for five days a week by Ted Higgins and Bernard, in restoring works of fine art from furniture to musical instruments. I didn't come from the same background as the other apprentices but could out-perform them; and soon was working with Sotheby's, Phillips, Bonham's, Christie's, the Victoria & Albert Museum, the British Museum and the British Library. I finished 7 years apprenticeship by the age of twenty-one and was taking on, commissioned pieces only.

I have been finding works of art and lost treasures throughout my life and over the years and even to this day, I have taken what Ted Higgins told me. His stories and theories on lost works of art and treasures that are mysteriously missing and applied to my own findings. Now I have my own theories about the lost treasure' of the Knight Templar'.

'There is a very good reason for Royston being where it is. To know the secrets of Royston you would have to arrive at Royston, to do this you would have to know the reason for going. Then it will become the key to the rest, it forms part of a great complex of places all with the same purpose, but to know this you will have to go a long way back in time to pick up the very beginnings'

The Author Barry Walker has spent the past 35 years researching Neolithic sites, especially those concerning Knights Tem
plar connections; and their links with those of a similar nature. Barry is a self-taught historian and researcher, with a unique, somewhat less than conventional approach in trying to discover the facts behind the myths. The producers of this astonishing series researched and verified his findings in great depth, before deciding to embark on this expensive and comprehensive production.

In the words of the director Robert Garofalo,  'Barry is a fascinating character, with a wealth of knowledge that can only have been obtained by years  of dedicated research.
